The movie chronicles a scientific mission ordered by a pharmaceutical company to travel deep into the jungles of Borneo, to a search for the rare blood orchid flower that only blooms for 6 months every 7 years.
The orchid contains a chemical capable of prolonging cellular life and maybe unlock immortality for mankind. With only 2 weeks left in the six months deadline, the race to find the rare orchid is on. The eager scientists sent to the jungle have no idea that an indigenous population of bloodthirsty anacondas has been living in the region where the blood orchid's can be found. Not only have the orchids enlarged the anaconda's already phenomenal size, strength, and vitality, they've also increased the snakes appetite for flesh. The movie is the sequel to 1997's tongue-in-cheek Anaconda, although none of the original cast have returned for this sequel. There were 2 more movies in the franchise Anaconda 3 and Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood. Director: Dwight H.
