A "National Geographic" film crew on its way to document a long lost tribe known as Shirishama near the Amazon River is taken hostage by an insane hunter, who takes them along on his personal quest to capture the world's largest and deadliest snake.
Anaconda was initially discarded by the critics on its release, but the movie rocked on the box office and has established itself as cult classic snake movie. The film is now most often regarded as the best snake movie of all time, and the anaconda shown is considered to be one of the scariest movie monsters ever portrayed. The movie had 3 sequels, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Anaconda 3: Offspring and Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood.
