When an American submarine leaves Tierra Del Fuego, one of its crew members secretly brings aboard a container full of deadly venomous snakes. The name of the submarine is Fer-de-Lance, the sailor buys the young snakes on leave because they have the same name as his ship.
When the snakes escape their storage the entire submarine is terrorized when they start biting and killing key crew members on the submarine. And eventually the snakes cause a catastrophic accident that cripples submarine so much that it sinks to the bottom of the Ocean. Even worse, is the fact that the dangerous snakes are still at large on the submarine and will complicate the crew's efforts to escape the sunken submarine.
