When a military plane crashes near Ruby, a small American town, it lets loose a giant man-eating snake that sets off on a killing spree. The snake is a very large reticulated python, genetically engineered crossing several snake species.
It's the perfect killing machine, a 129 foot long all-terrain vehicle capable of speeds exceeding 50 mph, with thick skin that capable of deflecting anti-tank rounds, enhanced night vision, and of course a voracious appetite for human flesh. Now the locals must find a way to eliminate the giant python with the help of a scientist and terminate it. Despite the movie's initial reception, which received mixed reviews, it is nowadays regarded as a cult classic, with a dedicated fan base although many think of it as rip-off of Anaconda (1997). Python was followed by two sequels, Python II in 2002 and Boa vs. Python in 2004, both were also made-for-TV films. Director: Richard Clabaugh Writers: Phillip J.
